Reviews and Baking

Still postponing the latest "How to be Interesting" blog post.
No car = no adventure... Unless you're in the city. That's a different story.

In my last post, I showed you the worst makeup remover towelette I've ever used: Almay.
This is my preferred makeup remover towelette: Neutrogena.

That's right. I went on a shopping spree at CVS when I was on my way to Dan's house.

First product is the Maybelline Color Tattoo: 70 Barely Branded
The product is very creamy, neutral and shimmery.
I used to have two of those, but then I bought another one which had a hint of blue in it. The first two I bought were bad because they dried up, but I haven't had any unsatisfying experiences with my two latest Maybelline Color Tattoos.

Second product is Maybelline Color Whisper: Who Wore It Red-er
It's a nice bright red with pink tones in it.
The product is moisturizing on the lips and very vibrant.

Third product is Maybelline Color Whisper: A Plum Prospect
I bought this as a spur of the moment. The shade on the lipstick looks very dark, but when I put swatch it or wear it, it's a lot more sheer than its actual appearance.

Fourth product is Batiste Dry Shampoo
I  bought this product because I heard great reviews about it from missglamorazzi on youtube.
I started using it every other day, it feels like it's spraying out powder that just keeps your scalp less oily.
I also have this weird experience where if I don't wash my hair for a day, my scalp becomes really itchy, but this product prevents that.

I have a lot more products being shipped to me, so stay tuned for haul posts.

Also, happy birthday to my mom, which was 2 days ago!!
I wore a pink blazer from Forever21, distressed capris, also from Forever21, and a tank top from Costco.

This was her birthday cake and it's got mangos, blueberries, strawberries and melons. Inside is vanilla cake and mango with lots of cream. It was delicious, and there's still half of it left!

I also made cupcakes last Wednesday, June 12th, for the guys at Dan's apartment.
They tasted better than the cupcakes I made for his birthday.
Orange zest and purple frosting.

One Outfit Post, An Apology, and A Short Review

So I wanted to apologize for not posting in a while. It's pretty hard to work on my "How to Be Interesting" Challenge because of one of the challenges... I'll figure it out soon enough, but things have also gotten difficult in the sense that I overspent in shopping and my dad recently returned from China, which means, it's time to return the car.

Don't get me wrong, I still have access to it... Only on days when I have work though.
It's gonna be tough.

Well, here's an outfit that I wore a while ago.
Top - Forever 21
Shorts - DIY

I literally just pair these with flip flops.

Recently, we had a graduation/end-of-the-semester party. It was quite the rager, but let me tell you. We REALLY procrastinated on cleaning up.
First, we got hangover food.
Mmmmm!!! Pho, pho, pho, pho, pho. YUM!

And then we took a nap.
We're quite the little family.

Took a little walk.

And then it was crunch time.
We cleaned from top to bottom till it was sparkly clean.

Next day, it was back to work for Dan. After work, he normally plays video games or his DS. I always find the faces he makes entertaining.

More DS...

So, you see, we haven't been all THAT unproductive. Only occasionally.

I recently purchased a different brand of makeup remover towelettes because I was out and it was going to be some time before I go home again. So I bought these.

It wasn't my smartest purchase because it was a spur of the moment purchase.
It's thinner than my Neutrogena ones.
It's harsher on my eyes.
It burns my eyes when I try to clean out my waterlines.
I need two towelettes to clean off two eyes.
That's a lot of towelettes considering there's only 25 in a pack.

So once again, not exactly my smartest purchase.
If you're going to buy makeup remover towelettes, do a little research.
My mom buys my makeup remover towelettes and she got them at Costco. They're soft and refreshing on your face. They're not as harsh as Almay's.

So that's it for now. I'll see what I can do for my challenge. Hopefully, I can be more interesting.
