ANSEES: Hair Craze

Ever since I graduated from college and moved out of my house, I've been experiencing with my hair (as well as trying new things with crafting).
Before anyone tells me how terrible it is for my hair, I know.
I really do.
Right now, I'm still trying to see which colors will match, and I've tried purples and reds so far.
My parents saw me with ombre hair and purple ombre hair, and they didn't like how bright and vibrant it was.
First, I started out dying my own hair and bleaching the tips.
Then, to get professional experience, I went to a salon to get my hair professionally ombred to purple.

This is the before (left) and after (right).

It was certainly an interesting experience getting my hair colored at a salon.
Of course, it was an style that I could have done by myself, but now that I think about it, it was worth it trying to get an interesting color in my hair and also having my hair pampered with moisturizing products.

I took this the next day .
An explanation of the winter clothes, my office is freezing, and I'm there from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.

Coincidentally, I wore this turtleneck tank top on a different day.
The purple started fading and I left my hair faded like this for about a week or two and dyed it again using Adore's Wild Cherry hair dye, which I bought off of Amazon.

I honestly liked this color a lot more.
My only concern about when I was dying my hair, I didn't have a brush and couldn't see which areas had hair dye applied to it, so it was a very uneven application.

So now, my hair is at Wild Cherry.

ANSEES: Shops

Bath & Body Works
Marshmallow Fireside is FINALLY back.
This is one of my favorite scents. I saw this last year and bought the mason jar, and later I went back for the 3-wick candle.
This year, I skipped the mason jar packaging and went straight for the 3-wick candle, despite the fact that I LOVE mason jar packaging.

Urban Outfitters
My new apartment has a door leading to the balcony and I am obsessed with Urban Outfitters, that I bought this disregarding the cost.
Honestly, I do not regret it at all.
It was wide enough to cover both balcony doors and it was dark enough to keep out the bright sun on the morning.
WORTH IT.

Tony Moly: Mini Peach Lip Balm
This smells amazing, and it makes me hungry for peaches.
It's very moisturizing and the packaging is adorable.
I actually bought this because I remember my friend had the hand cream one and it was so cute, so I bought a smaller version and went with the lip balm.

Other Beauty Products
 Sephora: Too Faced: Cat Eyes
I've never bought a high-end brand palette.
This was pigmented and had natural colors. I also liked how the darker colors on the far right can be used wet or dry. Love it.
This purchase was courtesy of my friend who basically convinced me to get it.

M.A.C.: Rebel
I can't believe I ran out of this so fast.
It's such a beautiful, vibrant dark fuchsia.
For work, I just dab it on and, usually when I drive back, I just put it on darker.
It's gorgeous, and I wish I had a life's supply of it.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick: Berry Haute
I was feeling adventurous, but I would never have thought that I would be so invested in purple shades on my lips, especially a mauve shade like Revlon's Berry Haute.
It's also extremely moisturizing.

Sephora: Jack Black's Intense Therapy Lip Balm: Black Tea & Blackberry
This is one of the most tastiest, moisturizing lip balms.
I would wear it just to lick it off.
It also has a therapeutic feeling to it. It's hard to explain, but it also makes my lips feel soft and plushy.
So if you want soft, kissable lips, I would wear this.

Essie: Butler Please
My favorite color is blue, and I've been looking for a bright navy blue nail polish for a while.
I'm pretty pleased with this purchase, especially since I like Essie products.
This color is also one of those colors that can be worn all year.

Sephora: Buxom: Cherry Flip
Generally, I'm not the type of girl who wears lip gloss a lot, just because on a windy day, my hair would be all over the place and just stick to my lip.
I saw this color from Amy Pham of The Platform on YouTube and thought maybe I've outgrown my concern of sticky lips.
Although my hair still sticks to it, I realized that the color is work it, and this product also moisturizes my lips as well.
(FYI, my lips are the kind that gets chap very easily. Humid/dry weather, it's always... chap.)

ANSEES: Outfits

I have always wanted a tall mirror, so I can take full body pictures to show off some outfits.

The first one I took was an outfit I wore to church.
(I just realized the quality isn't very clear. Fail on my part.)
Flannel: Dad's
Shirt: Jones New York
Skirt: Wasteland
Shoes: 2020 Ave

Shirt: Nylon
Skirt: Forever 21
Tights: Uniqlo
Shoes: 2020 Ave

I wore this one recently to work and after to hang out with friends. It's casual and formal, which I really like because it doesn't make me look like a slob, which I tend to dress like a lot due to comfort.
I recently bought this blazer and it is extremely comfy and fit for winter. Also, my office is heavily air conditioned, so this was perfect.

ANSEES is Back and Raiding Your Feed!

It has been 6 months, and a lot has been happening.
I will most surely break down everything for you.
Thus, commence the raid of ANSEES updates.

I finally graduated college. Never thought I would make it, but it happened.

Naturally, I moved to a different apartment with Dan. These are some cool kids on the block, of whom I snuck a picture of on one of my days off from work.

I also attempted to decorate it, even if it's a 3-month lease starting from September.
This is the entrance, if you can see the door on the bottom right.
You would think it took forever cutting out those dots in different sizes, but I have grown obsessed with Michaels: Arts & Craft store once again.
I splurged and bought 3 different sized hole punchers, as well as 3 different variety packs of cardstock paper.
Punching these holes out took about 40 minutes if you don't take any breaks.
(To make the time pass, I watched some TV shows.)

With my renewed love for arts & crafts (because of how bored I have become on my free time), I also bought packs and packs of tissue paper to create pom pom flowers.
(This one is my favorite.)

These were so fun and easy to make.
However, it did grow frustrating when I tried to separate the layers of tissue paper, and, all of a sudden, it rips a little.
The great thing about that is, don't rip it completely off.
If it's just a little tear, you can mash the surrounding tissue paper with it and give it more texture.

I tried to tape it on the ceiling, but, unfortunately, it wouldn't stick and duct tape ripped off the paint on the ceiling. (That could cost me.)
The reason why these did not stay up was because the bigger pom poms were too heavy to be held up with yarn/wire and scotch/duct tape.
I did notice that the two smaller ones in the green ones (two in the top middle) managed to stay up pretty well.

My advice:
If you're going to hang pom pom flowers, make sure they're size medium and small.

The big ones, I ended up just using scotch tape (because it didn't rip off the paint) on the wall, and they've been staying up for about a week and counting.

If you haven't noticed, I've taken quite a liking to crafts.
For the record, I've always liked arts and crafts, but with school work and personal issues, I didn't have time for it.
Now, crafting is the only thing I have to maintain relaxed.

I have taken up crocheting after seeing my friend make amigurumi (crochet figures).
In order to start slow and learn the stitches, I started off with one pound of yarn and created a circle scarf that I managed to finish this past week.
I started it about a month ago.

(I forced Dan to be my model.)
I chose a circle scarf because the end connects with the beginning, so no one can see how terrible the first 1/5 of it looks. It was the learning section. As the ball of yarn decreased in size, my crocheting for (I think) the half double crochet got better.
I liked how during my breaks at work, I could just watch Netflix and crochet.

Therefore, I started another one with a different stitch (the star stitch).
I think, I am in love with this stitch and the color of the yarn I chose.
I chose the color based on my first pet, but I couldn't find match the color too well.
The texture of the yarn is sooooo soft. It is amazing. The first night I bought it, I almost fell asleep hugging it.

Also, I have accepted a challenge of the old Japanese legend of making 1000 paper cranes.
CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!
This picture was taken 3 weeks ago.
Right now, I am almost done with my first pack of 300 origami papers.

6 months has most definitely been a long time.
I'm separating my posts of updates.
Stay tuned!

(Been playing this a lot. Didn't say I've been winning...
